I have a question about the cookie cake's frosting color. How'd you get it that gorgeous caramel color?
Thank you for that compliment! Honestly, it was nothing more than throwing in colors until I got it where I liked it. I started with just brown in white buttercream, and DID NOT like the flat color that produces. So then I started adding in small amounts of yellow and either orange or red (I'm sorry, I can't remember exactly which, it's been a long time since I made this - my nephew is now almost 6!) But I think it was orange. I just added a little yellow, then a little orange, then a little yellow, etc, until it came out to what I thought looked like a cookie. Aren't you glad I took precise measurements? :) Hope that helps at least a little, and good luck!
