Mardi Gras cake for a co-worker's 21st birthday party. I'm disappointed with the pictures a little, because the main colors of this cake were purple and turquoise - not blue!! Bottom four pics were taken by the birthday girl's "photographer" (I think it was her aunt) and used with her permission. Top tier: strawberry daiquiri with rum butter cream filling; Middle tier: pink champagne with strawberry champagne butter cream filling; Bottom tier: white chocolate raspberry with whipped white chocolate ganache filling. Covered in fondant with fondant accents.
The Backpacking Llama Cake made for my sister-in-law's birthday. There's a story with the llama wearing a backpack on I-80, but I won't go into that. White chocolate raspberry with raspberry mousse filling and raspberry butter cream icing. Llama was a frozen butter cream transfer.
1st birthday cake for a friend's twin daughters. It was a very special birthday! The monkeys were modeled after their little personalities. Only three tiers (the gift on top is not edible). Bottom was Triple Chocolate Fudge with ganache filling, middle was chocolate orange with orange buttercream, top was chocolate raspberry with fresh raspberries and whipping cream. Fondant accents. Boarders were strawberry whoppers. The last six pictures are mine, the rest were taken by my friend and used with her permission.
Little Mermaid cake made for my daughter's 6th birthday (with my sister's help). Top tier was red velvet with vanilla butter cream filling, middle was strawberry with vanilla butter cream filling, bottom was white almond sour cream with almond butter cream filling. Butter cream icing with butter cream, chocolate melt and pre-made frosting accents.
