Sofia the 1st Dress Birthday Cake

Sofia the First third birthday cake made for my niece. French vanilla cake with raspberry filling, fondant covered with fondant and gumpaste accents.

    This is a great cake!!! Did you use a bowl to make the bottom layer cake? If so, coukd you please tell me what size?

      Thanks! I did use a stainless steel bowl for the bottom layer. It was 8 qt. If I had to do it again, I would use a smaller bowl, but only because we ended up with too much cake. :)

      Wow! Yeah that is a big bowl :) all the "pearls" are fondant, correct? Not piped thank u!!!

      The pearls on the crown were the edible candy pearls. The ones on the dress were piped. No fondant pearls at all. Too much work! :)
